Two Christian Calimesa Community Concerts

Pro Deo, an all-volunteer Inland Southern California choir and string ensemble consisting of 60 musicians will sing and play in the second concert of the series on March 19 at 6 p.m.

Chiz Rider, an internationally recognized trumpeter and recording artist, will present a program of traditional and contemporary Christian music at the Calimesa Seventh-day Adventist Church on Saturday, March 5, at 7 p.m.

Largely self-taught since Rider discovered his father’s high school trumpet in a closet at age four, Rider’s musical style has been influenced by such versatile performers as Wynton and Brandon Marsalis, Maynard Ferguson, and Louis Armstrong.
