Planned maintenance, repairs and capital improvements to City water infrastructure will result in shutdowns in portions of southern and eastern Redlands, affecting approximately 200 customers in early September.

On Wednesday, Sept. 1, water will be shut off to approximately 130 customers in an area south of the Orange Blossom Trail and north of Herrington Drive, roughly between Dearborn Street and Wabash Avenue. Not all residences will be affected. See the attached map for specific streets.

The shutdown is scheduled between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to allow maintenance to be performed at the City’s Dearborn Reservoir site.

On Thursday, Sept. 2, water will be shut off to approximately 70 customers in an area south of La Cresta Drive and Monterey Street and north of Carob Street, roughly between Alessandro Road and Pacific Street. Not all residences will be affected. See the attached map for specific streets.

The shutdown is scheduled between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to allow for construction of new water infrastructure in the area.

All affected residents will be notified with hand-delivered notices on their doors 48 hours prior to the work beginning.

During the shutdowns, tap water will be unavailable. Residents are advised to plan ahead and fill pitchers of water for drinking and an additional bucket or pail of water to wash their hands and flush toilets. Additional details will be provided with the notices.
