Myofascial pain, or pain coming from muscles and the connective tissue surrounding them, is a widespread musculoskeletal pain condition. It can affect up to 85% of adults in their lifetime. Myofascial pain arises from specific areas of tightness in the muscles and fascia, termed trigger points. Trigger points are highly sensitive areas that are painful when pressed.  They can also mimic nerve-related disorders with pain that radiates, or cause other abnormal sensations and even weakness.  There are no clear criteria for diagnosing myofascial pain, so it is often misdiagnosed and can be debilitating. Patients may undergo many procedures, even surgery, without finding a solution. Even when correctly diagnosed, treatments such as traditional physical therapy, chiropractic care, massage, acupuncture, and pain medications are sometimes not able to effectively resolve this condition.

Thrivability Medical understands the frustrations faced by individuals with persistent myofascial pain syndrome. We've developed a comprehensive and innovative treatment approach to treat it. We use ultrasound to target and completely disrupt the underlying trigger points responsible for myofascial pain. In addition, we address all the factors that led to the formation of myofascial pain. By releasing adhesions and inactivating the source of pain, our treatment offers immediate relief. But short-term relief is not our goal. We provide a comprehensive post-procedure protocol that addresses the factors that led to the painful condition and collaborate with a specialized doctor of physical therapy to make sure muscles stay relaxed between sessions. Our comprehensive approach significantly improves patient outcomes and releases patients to live their best life.

Hannah Row, MD is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor with a passion for helping individuals resolve their myofascial pain. She believes in a whole-person approach to care, exploring predisposing factors such as poor sleep, muscle imbalances and lack of stress management. She strives to foster a collaborative relationship with her patients, empowering them to achieve their goals. She creates a personalized program driven by the patient’s goals incorporating physical therapy, medications and procedures to ensure a comprehensive and effective treatment protocol.

Dr Row received her bachelors and medical degrees from the University of Virginia.  She completed her physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY, where she went on to complete an additional year of fellowship training in interventional spine and sports medicine.

She is board-certified by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Prior to starting Thrivability Medical, Dr Row accumulated over a decade of experience in a wide variety of private practice settings, treating non-surgical orthopedic conditions, such as acute and chronic pain related to the spine, musculoskeletal injuries and myofascial pain. Early in her career, she noticed the widespread prevalence of myofascial pain, coupled with the lack of effective treatment options currently available. The overwhelmingly positive response

from her myofascial patients ultimately inspired her to create Thrivability Medical. For more information, call or text 909-343-4195 or visit www.thrivabilitymedical.com.
