Although these uncertain times may not be over yet, we as a community can still do all that we can to pull together, support one another, and still find ways to have fun and enjoy life, while staying safe.

Marina Escudero is this week’s winner of the City News Group, Inc. $1,000 sweepstakes opportunity drawing! As this week’s winner of the weekly prize giveaway, Escudero has won a dinner for two from Vicky’s Restaurant.

An easy way to give back to your community is to shop local and support our small businesses. We here at your local City News have developed a sweepstakes program that gets you, the community, back to your favorite local businesses.

However, time is running out! Enter to win $1,000 and more prizes by December 3rd at no purchase necessary!

Escudero decided to enter into the sweepstakes program after learning about it on social media.

“I like supporting local businesses so I thought this would be fun to do!” Escudero said.

Escudero currently works in management for the Bail Hotline Bail Bonds. Just like many, Escudero has faced the complications that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought but has found a silver lining.

“The Pandemic has been really hard on my family,” Escudero said. “We try to limit our contact with family members outside of our household. On the other hand, we’ve grown to appreciate the time we do have with family so much more.”

In her spare time, Escudero loves spending time with her two teenage boys, hiking and trying new restaurants.

“I’m so thankful for City News Group! This is a pleasant surprise and I will enjoy this so much!” Escudero said.

Escudero’s experience at Vicky’s Restaurant will surely be memorable and will have her adding it to her family’s favorite’s list.
