Shooting Investigation

Police are investigating a shooting that may have occurred in an as-yet undetermined area of Redlands late Friday night, Sept. 13.

Redlands Police responded to a restaurant parking lot at the intersection of Palm Avenue and West 5th Street in Highland shortly before 11 p.m. after a witness reported he was driving a shooting victim to the hospital. Arriving officers found a white 2004 Toyota Matrix with a 20-year-old San Bernardino man who had suffered a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital where he is in stable condition.

Witnesses and the victim provided conflicting reports on where the shooting occurred. The investigation is ongoing.
