Saturday Morning Certified Farmers Market Reopens June 13

The City of Redlands is happy to announce the reopening of the Saturday Morning Certified Farmers’ Market on Saturday, June 13, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.  The market is located in the parking lot on Redlands Boulevard between 5th and 6th streets.  The certified farmers’ market provides an opportunity for local farmers to sell their crops directly to the consumer.  The food is picked when it is ripe and tastes delicious.

CalFresh EBT or P-EBT cards can also be used to purchase fresh food from the farmers’ market. Double the value of CalFresh purchases through Market Match, a federally-funded nutrition incentive program.  For every dollar of CalFresh spent, customers are given an extra Market Match dollar up to $10, which may be spent to purchase fruits and vegetables. This means that for every $10 of CalFresh benefit spent, the customer gets $20 worth of healthy food. Visit the information booth at the market for more information or the City’s website at: https://www.cityofredlands.org/pod/market-match.

In keeping with State and County public health recommendations during the COVID-19 pandemic, City staff has created the Market Safety for Shoppers webpage that can be found at: https://www.cityofredlands.org/pod/market-safety-shoppers. Please check out the page before you visit.

Support your local farmers and buy healthy fresh produce at our open-air market this Saturday.

City of Redlands press releases and other information are available on the City’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/cityofredlands or on the City’s website at www.cityofredlands.org/.
