Redlands Pottery Project joins A.K. Smiley Public Library for a November 14 workshop designed for young artists ages 13 to 18. A lump of clay may not look like much at first. In the hands of a young artist, however, it can become a bowl, a decorative sculpture or an entirely unexpected creation.

The University of Redlands Department of Theatre and Dance will present Día de los Muertos and Other Folk Tales November 5 through 8, 2026. Stories told by grandparents often become treasured parts of a family's history. Running shoes, colorful clothing and a willingness to have fun will take center stage in Moreno Valley on Saturday, November 14, when the city hosts its 2026 Fun Color Run at the Civic Center Amphitheater. The city's Office of Emergency Management has scheduled a sandbag filling event for Saturday, November 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. According to the city's emergency management website, participants may obtain up to 25 free sandbag.

Moreno Valley is preparing residents to better understand an alternative form of communication through an amateur radio training course scheduled for November 6 and 7.

A decision affecting the future of educational options in Moreno Valley is scheduled for Tuesday, November 10, when the Moreno Valley Unified School District Board of Education considers a charter school petition involving Options for Youth – Moreno Valley.

The Moreno Valley Public Library provides educational programs and learning opportunities for children and families, including activities that encourage exploration and discovery. A public library can be the place where a child discovers a favorite book, but it can also be where that child begins to understand how a machine works, why a scientific experiment produces a particular result or how a simple idea can become an invention.
