Man Stabbed During Fight Outside Downtown Bar

Police are investigating after a 26-year-old Redlands man was stabbed outside a downtown bar early Wednesday morning.

The victim and his friends were waiting to enter the Boiler Room, 345 N. Fifth St., shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17. The suspect and his friends were being escorted out of the bar by security when a fight began. During the fight, the victim was stabbed.

A responding Redlands Police officer applied a tourniquet to the victim until Redlands Fire Department paramedics arrived. Paramedics treated the victim who was then transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he underwent surgery. Doctors indicated the injury is not life-threatening.

Three men were witnessed fleeing the scene immediately after the stabbing.
