The powerful Old Testament account of Ruth comes to life as LifeHouse Theater concludes its 27th season with the popular musical, “Ruth.”  This touching story of love and devotion recounts Ruth’s marriage – a union granting her a special place in the family lineage leading to Jesus.

Performances begin Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 7:00 PM and will continue on weekends through November 7, 2021.  Performances are Fridays at 7:00 PM, Saturdays at 2:00 PM (except Opening Night) and 7:00 PM, and Sundays at 2:00 PM.  In addition to the weekend performances, there will be a special weekday performance on Thursday, November 4 at 7:00 PM.  There will be no performance on Sunday, October 31.

Regular advance ticket prices for each production are $22 or $26 for adults and $11 or $13 for children ages 3-11 (no children under 3 are admitted) and can be purchased over the phone with a Visa or MasterCard by calling (909) 335-3037.  Tickets are available online at boxoffice.lifehousetheater.com. Checks can also be mailed to LifeHouse, provided reservations are made far enough in advance.  Tickets may also be purchased in person at the box office, which is open Fridays from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and one hour prior to performance times on the weekends.  Tickets are $2 more on the day of the performance. Group rates are available for groups of ten or more.  Guests are encouraged to reserve seats early as performances will sell out.

“The biblical story of Ruth has been among our most requested productions to return,” comments LifeHouse President Wayne R. Scott.  “We encourage everyone to reserve seats early for this amazing and inspiring story of love, loyalty and redemption.”

“Ruth” features a cast of more than thirty performers from all over the Inland Empire.  Amanda Springsted portrays the title role.  Also featured are Duane Crother as Boaz, Sarah Pearce as Naomi, Aaron Yañez as the Head Servant, Ed Derry as Elemilech, and Juliana Baioni as Orpah.  Also in featured roles are Koa Cohen, Dunlin Manson, Jon Paul Cohen, Aaron Ramos, Dustin Wehrman, Kirstie Acosta, Monique Crother and Alyssa Monsma.

This original adaptation is written by Jane Cason, with music and additional lyrics by Dustin Ceithamer.  Wayne Scott serves as script and story co-editor.  “Ruth” is directed by LifeHouse veteran Jana Smith. Smith’s production staff includes choreographer Jennifer M. DeWitt, music director Jeremy Yeo, and costume designer Tiffany Michel.  Set design is by Jacob Michel with sound and lighting design by Zachary Michel and Josiah Evans.

LifeHouse Theater launches its 28th season with “Miracle on 34th Street” (November 20 – December 29) with the remainder of the season to be announced at the LifeHouse Season Celebration on September 12.  Money-saving season passes will be on sale at the LifeHouse Theater Box Office at that time.

The theater is located at 1135 N. Church St. in Redlands, next to the Redlands Christian School.  Free parking is available in the back of the theater.  More information can be found by visiting the website at www.lifehousetheater.com.
