Recruitment is underway now for the Spring 2024 New Docent Training Class starting March 4 through March 27, 2024.  Located next to Prospect Park, the French chateau-style Victorian mansion has lush Italian Renaissance styled botanical gardens.

The Kimberly Crest House and Gardens Docent Program, which began over 35 years ago, is comprised of passionate and dedicated volunteers who act as tour guides and interact with visitors to ensure that they have a memorable experience when visiting the historic property.  They also assist with special projects including cataloging historical artifacts, assistingwith special fundraising events throughout the year, or working in the historic gardens.  The program provides a great opportunity to meet people and learn something new in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Docetns will receive comprehensive training regarding the history of Kimberly Crest; from the families who built it and called it home, to the architecture and historic collections housed within it.  Prospective docents should have the desire to work with children and adults to help facilitate positive experiences for all visitors.

The new training class begins March 4, 2024, from 4:30p.m to 7:30p.m.  Application deadline is February28th.  To submit an online application, please their website at www.kimberlycrest.org/become involved.
