HSSBV Announces New Winter Wonderland Walk & Santa Paws Pet Photos

You and your pets are invited to the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley (HSSBV) Winter Wonderland Walk & Santa Paws Pet Photos presented by San Manuel Band of Mission Indians on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley (374 W. Orange Show Road, San Bernardino).  This event, formerly Santa Paws Pet Photos & Holiday Boutique, will have all of the fun of the regular photos with Santa, combined with everything you loved about our Spring Walk for the Animals and even more!


5x7 photos with Santa will be available for purchase the day of the event for $10 each.  These photos will be printed and available to take home the same day!  Attendees will also be able to purchase the digital file of their photos for $15.  Bring the whole family- Adults and children, with or without pets, are welcome in photos.  This event will include a large vendor village to kick off holiday shopping; Winter Wonderland walking trail; amazing raffles; letters to Santa writing station; Pooch Play Area presented by Dances with Dogs Training Center; paw print ornaments; annual HSSBV pet supply sale; Stars of Hope painting activity; free carnations from Orange Blossom Florist and more!  Enter your pet in our Pet Contests for only $5 per pet, per entry!  Categories for the pet contests include Best Dressed Female, Best Dressed Male, Most Holiday Spirit and Best Trick. There will also be food and drink vendors throughout the event.


The HSSBV regularly scheduled Saturday Shot Clinic will also be open, and thanks to a generous donation from 24Pet, 200 pets (cats or dogs) will be given FREE microchips during the event (regularly $32).  These free microchips will be administered on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last (limit two free microchips per household).

The event schedule is as follows:

8:00 am                                Event begins & registration opens

8:00 am – 12:00 pm        Santa photo registration (please note registration ends promptly at noon, no exceptions.  Registration may end earlier than noon if we reach the maximum photo amount before then).

                                                Registration groups will be called in order starting at 8:15 am.

8:00 am – 12:00 pm        HSSBV’s regularly scheduled Saturday Shot Clinic vaccines available inside the HSSBV Veterinary Clinic.  Please note the list for vaccines may also be cut off before noon based on attendance.

8:00 am – 10:30 am        Pet Contest registration at the main registration table located in from of the HSSBV Administration Office.

                                                Free microchips to the first 200 pets (limit two per household/pet parent).

11:00 am                             Pet Contests behind the Veterinary Clinic 

11:30 am                             Turn your vendor passport in to the photo registration table by 11:30 for your chance to win a $50 Visa gift card!

12:00 pm                             Christmas Tree Live Auction in the Education Center!

12:15 pm                             Raffles pulled in the Education Center!

 

Special guests scheduled to appear at the event include our emcee, Jeff Pope of the Jeff Pope Show on Hot 103.9 along with the Hot 103.9 Hot Squad; and Pet Contest judge, Pepper from KFROG 95.1.

 

Pets who attend Santa Paws must be nonaggressive and the appropriate temperament to deal with a crowd.  All pets must be current on vaccines and on a short, non-retractable leash.
