Female Teen Meets Up with Man She Met Online and is Sexually Assaulted

 On Friday, March 24, 2023, a 16-year-old female juvenile received an Instagram message from a 24-year-old male, identified as Shandar Washington.  On Saturday, March 25, 2023, around midnight, Washington picked up the victim near her residence in his vehicle. Washington and the victim hung out for a period of time and Washington dropped her off close to her residence. The victim believed Washington was a nice guy and agreed to go out with him again. 

On Sunday, March 26, 2023, around midnight, Washington picked up  the victim a second time near her residence. Washington drove the victim to a local fast food establisment and bought her food.  Washington started kissing the victim and eventually raped her inside his vehicle. 

On April 4, 2023, the victim made a police report and DNA evidence was collected. The Sceintific Investigations Division recived a positive hit on the DNA analysis to Washington. 

On January 26, 2024, at 11:38 a.m., the San Bernardino Sheriff's Central Station's Multi Enforcement Team arrested Washington and booked him into the Central Detention Center for PC 261 - Rape. Washington is being held in Lieu of $80,000 bail.
