Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino (FARSB) announces a momentous transformation as their Homebound Emergency Relief Outreach (HERO) Program evolves into “Nourish Now” after three years of providing emergency food deliveries to local homebound households. The transition takes effect immediately, ushering in a new era of impact for the organization and the communities it serves.

“The adoption of our new program name, Nourish Now, perfectly embodies the collective efforts of our dedicated team,” said Jacqueline Arias, Programs Director at FARSB. “It emphasizes our team's unwavering commitment to prioritizing nourishment over mere sustenance as we continue our mission.”

Deliveries made through Nourish Now include a balanced assortment of nutritious foods and shelf-stable essentials, addressing immediate needs as they arise. Since 2020, the program has extended a helping hand to over 20,000 food-insecure homes in the Inland Empire.

Nourish Now is intended to serve as emergency supplementary support for families unable to leave their homes due to health, mobility, and transportation challenges. It is not intended to serve as a primary food supply.

While this program name may be changing, FARSB’s unwavering commitment to the Inland Empire community remains the same. For more information about Nourish Now, please call Jacqueline Arias at 951-359-4757 or email jarias@feedingamericaie.org.

Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino (FARSB) is leading the fight against hunger in the Inland Empire by providing food access, emergency relief, education, and advocacy to families in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. FARSB opened in 1980 as Survive Food Bank in response to the increasing concern about the dual problems of hunger and food waste in the Inland Empire. With the help of these community partners, they make up the largest hunger-relief organization serving Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, ultimately making food security a reality for over one million households every year.
