SBVC Women’s Cross Country Grabs Impressive 15th Place Finish

SBVC wrapped up the 2015 season at Woodward Park in Fresno, home of the CCCAA State Finals, collecting a solid 15th place finish, scoring 431 points. SBVC finished 24 points ahead of Cuesta, and finishing above six teams from the SoCal finals, showing a 5:41 course improvement over their last race. As has been the case most of the season, sophomore Fernanda Rodriguez (Jurupa Valley Rubidoux) led the way for SBVC finishing the 5000 meter course in 38th place with a time of 19:35.1. Finishing 75th was freshman Alyssa Hebb (Redlands East Valley) with a time of 20:21.7 and freshman Alexis Espinosa (San Bernardino Pacific) finished 97th with a time of 20:48.1. Sophomore Citlaly Garcia (San Bernardino Cajon) finished 180th with a time of 21:00.7 and freshman Kimberly Cooley (San Bernardino Cajon) wrapped up the top five for SBVC with a time of 21:09.9, finishing 113th. Sophomore Jessica Hernandez (Rialto W.A. Carter) and freshman Cynthia Boyzo (Jurupa Valley H.S.) finished 129th and 154th for SBVC on the morning.
