RPD Recovers Stolen Firearms, Motorcycle; Parolee Arrested

The Redlands Police Department and Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies, served a search warrant during a theft investigation Tuesday, April 29, on a home in the 9200 block of Redlands Boulevard. Redlands detectives located seven firearms, including three that were determined to have been stolen ammunition, a stolen Suzuki motorcycle and methamphetamine. Riverside Sheriff’s deputies arrested 41-year-old Justin Perry James, as he was leaving another residence in Moreno Valley. James was in violation of his parole for failing to check in with his parole officer. The stolen firearms were taken during thefts in Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties. The motorcycle was stolen from Nuevo, in Riverside County. In addition to parole violation, James was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession for sales of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property, possession of a stolen vehicle and outstanding warrants. He was transported to Central Detention Center in San Bernardino. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Redlands Police Dispatch at (909) 798-7681.
