A.K. Smiley Library Employment Boot Camp

REDLANDS >> This interactive employment workshop targets professionals anywhere from recent graduates to mid‐career changers as well as those who were laid off, downsized, or returning to a career after time away from the workforce. Whether a person has been searching for a job for 2 weeks or 2 years, this workshop will provide imaginative ideas that will turn the job search process from reactive to proactive and put the job seeker in the driver’s seat for landing his/her dream career. Attendees will learn how to not be their own worst enemy and find a job based on their passion and interests using innovative search strategies. Attendees will also learn effective resume writing and interview techniques. Jamie Beck is a former Career Counselor for the California State University system and has a Master’s Degree in Human Services with an emphasis in Social Systems and a concentration in Family and Work. She has worked for the California Department of Education and First 5 programs in the public and nonprofit sector. The workshop will be held at A.K. Smiley Library Assembly Room, 125 West Vine Street, Redlands, CA 92373 on Thursday April 7, from 12 - 4 p.m. It's free and open to the public.
