Did you know the United States is home to over 4,000 species of native bees? Join us for National Geographic Explorer, TEDx speaker, and community scientist Krystle Hickman's workshop, “Artful Community Science: Supporting Native Bees and Climate-Resilient Ecosystems Through Photography”, hosted by the San Bernardino Valley Water Conservation District at the San Bernardino County Museum for A Day of Climate Action at Redlands Earth Day, Saturday, April 20. Through Ms. Hickman’s stunning macro photography, you will learn what makes bees so special and how important they are to resilient ecosystems through the pollination of native flowers and agricultural crops. Following the 10:30-11:15am presentation, participants can tour through the museum’s water-wise garden with Ms. Hickman and try their hand at scientific photography by adding findings to this years’ City Nature Challenge project on iNaturalist.

The Police Department’s goal is to have 350 sworn officers. Current full-time staffing is reported at 295 sworn officers and 156 professional staff.
