Dia de los Muertos at Historic Asistencia

In 2021, The Asistencia commenced a new practice with Dia de los Muertos and received an amazing community response. We are excited to continue the annual celebration on Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 12:30 pm-7:00 pm at The Asistencia (26930 Barton Road Redlands, CA 92373).

At its core, this holiday reunites and honors beloved ancestors, family and friends that have departed.

We are fortunate in having amazing volunteers spearhead this event. They are developing the educational and cultural programs, wonderful entertainment, and creating relevant children’s activities.

Therefore we are asking for your support by attending the event (suggested $5 donation), volunteering, reserving an ofrenda (altar), or corporate sponsorship.

Admission: suggested $5 donation (please register your interest in the Tickets section)

One aspect of the traditional observance of this celebration is preparation of an “ofrenda”- or offering – to the members of one’s family who are departed. The creation of this table may include photos of the deceased, favorite foods, or objects used or beloved by them. If you would like to participate in this meaningful ritual to honor your loved ones and welcome them to the celebration, you can reserve an ofrenda, by selecting the ticket option. Ticket purchase of an ofrenda includes use of a 6' table and black tablecloth. You and your family will be allowed to decorate the ofrenda prior to the event. Contact Heather Ross (info@redlandsconservancy.org) to coordinate or for any questions.

All funds raised at this event, like all events we have, go towards the Asistencia's operations and restoration. We have a long list of projects that need attention so residents and visitors can continue to enjoy this historic landmark for 200+ more years!

This is a no-pets event. Please leave Fido at home. No smoking or vaping.
