Boys & Girls Club Honors Outstanding Members

REDLANDS>> The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside honored its outstanding members at a dinner at the Burrage Mansion recently. The club recognized its Junior Youth of the Year, Members of the Month and Staff of the Year. The Junior Youth of the Year is chosen for leadership, character and attitude. Different candidates are chosen from various locations, with each is chosen from the Members of the Month at the Clubs’ various locations. Each member of the month received a certificate and was recognized by club leadership. “This is the cream of the crop,” said Club Vice President Mark Davis. At the dinner, the club debuted the four teenage Youth of the Year Ambassadors – Adrian Chavez, Isabel Cruz, Tyryn Cleveland and Christopher Monterroza. Junior Youth of the Year Samantha Thomas, Isabel and Tyryn gave speeches about the impact the club had on their lives. Honorees included Junior Youth of the year, Samantha Thomas; Member of the year, Daniela Guzman; and Staff of the Year, Manny Arredondo.
