The Redlands Police Department and Redlands Police Community Foundation were recently nominated for a 2021 RISE award in the category of “Outstanding Agency,” from Axon, a public safety technology company.

This unique awards program is designed to recognize departments for making great strides in building up their community.

Community members, friends and family are invited to support the Redlands Police Department and Redlands Police Community Foundation nomination by voting at https://riseawards.us.launchpad6.com/riseagencyawards/entries#! You may vote up to once per day through Sept. 17, 2021.

The top 10 finalists in each category will be reviewed by a panel of judges and the winner will receive $7,500 to use toward community events.

The application highlights dozens of community-oriented events involving the Redlands Police Department, including the Redlands Emergency Services Academy, Blue Christmas, the Redlands Neighborhood Parade, the Back 2 School Jam, the Senior Center Thanksgiving, Bats and Badges and many others. You can view the department’s application at https://riseawards.us.launchpad6.com/riseagencyawards/entries#!.

“This nomination is a testament to the dedication and commitment of the men and women of RPD as it strives to foster public trust and promote police legitimacy,” said Redlands Police Deputy Chief Travis Martinez.

The Redlands Police Department would also like to recognize all of its community partners and community stakeholders who make the award possible.

“We appreciate the support given to RPD by the community, and together we will continue to do our best to make Redlands a safe place for all to live and conduct business,” said Martinez.
