The Redlands Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving an overturned cement truck on the westbound 210 freeway between Interstate 10 and the San Bernardino Avenue off-ramp Saturday morning, Aug. 7. One person suffered minor injuries, and the collision caused a fuel spill on the freeway embankment.

Arriving crews found a two-vehicle traffic collision with a cement truck overturned down the embankment. The driver of the truck was treated on scene for a minor injury.

The cement truck leaked approximately 45 gallons of fuel from a ruptured fuel tank onto the dirt embankment. Emergency crews removed the overturned cement truck and cleaned up the spilled fuel. The number two lane of the westbound 210 was closed from the Interstate 10 Freeway to the San Bernardino Avenue off-ramp for several few hours.

The accident was under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
