Award Winning Illustrator, Author Visits Frugal Frigate

Award winning illustrator and author Peter Brown will be visiting the Frugal Frigate on Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. Peter Brown will read from his latest book, "My Teacher is a Monster! (No, I am Not)," demonstrate his Caldecott Award-winning drawing style and share a moment for questions and answers. A best-selling and most popular creators of children’s books, Peter Brown is a favorite writer for story time books at the Frugal Frigate. Among his New York Times bestseller books are "Children Make Terrible Pets," "Curious Garden," "Mr. Tiger Goes Wild," "You Will be my Friend!", and the 2013 Caldecott Award-winning book, "Creepy Carrots!" These books will be available for purchase and autographs at the Frugal Frigate. Brown will give the keynote address at the Charlotte Huck Children’s Literature Festival beginning Feb. 27 at the University of Redlands. Attendance during the presentation will be limited.
