Join the City of Redlands Saturday Morning Farmers Market from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, for the final cooking demonstration with Jesse Silva from Street Tacos Catering. The Saturday Morning Farmers Market is held every Saturday along Redlands Boulevard between Fifth and Sixth streets. Cooking demonstrations are funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farmers Market Promotion Program grant awarded to the City of Redlands Development Services Department's Economic Development Division in 2014. Showcasing seasonal produce from the market, these cooking demonstrations help to show the ingredients one can find at the farmers’ markets and how to cook with them, promoting healthy eating habits and locally and regionally grown produce. Jesse Silva and Street Tacos Catering have put on three cooking demonstrations at the Saturday Morning Market. Fresh omelets using eggs from Maust’s California Poultry; agua fresca using cucumbers from RS Farm, limes from Rolling Hills Herbs and Annuals and mint from Angel Farm; and bruschetta using sourdough from Rustic Loaf are just a few of the delicious samples from Street Tacos Catering that customers have enjoyed. Visit the market and drop by the cooking demo to see what surprises Jesse creates. SNAP/EBT/CalFresh benefits can be used at both the Saturday Morning Farmers Market and the weekly Thursday night Market Night on West State Street in Historic Downtown Redlands. Please drop by the City of Redlands booth (between 6th and 7th streets during Downtown Market Night) to learn more information.
