The Bonnes Meres Auxiliary of Children’s Fund will hold its annual holiday auction on Friday, November 4, 2022, at the Mitten Building in Redlands, CA. This year’s theme focuses on the foundation of philanthropy.

“We were particularly inspired by Ralph Waldo Emerson’s quote, ‘The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn’” shared event chair, Mandy Parton. “The concept that today’s efforts will leave an enduring legacy speaks to the core of our organization’s mission.”

Scheduled for 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., this event will include live entertainment, appetizers, cocktails, a silent auction, and opportunity prizes followed by a sit-down dinner and live auction.

Live auction prizes include an orthodontics package donated by Diehl Orthodontics, 18k yellow gold and diamond hoop earrings donated by Emerson Fine Jewelry, as well as unique and exciting getaways, dinner experiences, and more.

Network television audience warm-up host Roger Lundblade will serve as the auctioneer. With credits including hit TV shows Will & Grace, King Of Queens, America’s Funniest Videos, and Dancing With The Stars, Lundblade has led successful fundraisers for many non-profits in his over-30-year career.

As at past events, there will also be a “Fund-a-Cause” opportunity, this year benefitting the purchase of much-needed personal care products.

“We wish we didn’t have to raise funds so local children could have necessities so many of us simply take for granted, but as long as these things remain needed in our community, this will be a focus for our organization,” added Mandy Parton.

Last year’s auction raised $132,000, which allowed Bonnes Meres to donate more than $140,000 to the Children’s Fund for the year. This year, they hope to increase that amount to meet the growing need in our community and to help the Children’s Fund in their vision of  "A Bright Future for Every Child.”

Bonnes Meres is an Auxiliary of Children’s Fund, whose mission is “Giving our vulnerable children support, opportunity, and hope by breaking destructive cycles through community partnerships.”

Tickets, which are $125 per person, are currently available by visiting the Bonnes Meres website at www.bonnesmeres.org. The event will be held at The Mitten Building, 345 North 5th Street in Redlands.
