City of Redlands Disaster Council Meets

REDLANDS>> On Monday, April 24, the City of Redlands Disaster Council held a quarterly preparedness meeting in the Redlands City Council Chambers. The meeting was held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and was open to the public.

Reports were given from Pam Bertz of the Pacific Southwest Region for HOPE, Animal-Assisted Crisis Response team, as well as from Carrie Cruz of the San Bernardino County Fire Department/Operational Area/Office of Emergency Services. Ashley Congjuico, from the Department of Public Health, Preparedness and Response team was also in attendance. She presented on a Redlands flu clinic.

Redlands Emergency Services Manager, Fay Glass, presented on the Community Emergency Response Team and the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan. The City Disaster Council meets quarterly to develop both emergency and mutual aid plans plus agreements for consideration and possible adoption by the Redlands City Council.

The Redlands City Council Chambers are located at 35 Cajon St., Suite 2. As a reminder, in the event of an Emergency, dial your local EAS radio broadcast stations for more information.
