REDLANDS>> Ripple Theatre Project will open its second production with "It’s a Wonderful Life, A Live Radio Play by Joe Landry" Friday, Dec. 9. The beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds. True to a radio broadcast, the actors will each portray multiple characters and the Foley sound effects will be created live just as they would have in the 1940s. "It’s a Wonderful Life, a Live Radio Play" will be directed by Ripple’s Executive Director Tineke Raak. Brady Greer Huffman will assistant direct, Marlene Lane will be designing props and Machir Lakofka will be designing costumes. “I am so thrilled with the creative team we have for this show," Raak said. "Audiences really enjoyed our first production and the intimacy of having the actors up-close. The desserts were also a big hit. This time will be no different, the audience is in for such a treat." Ripple Theatre Project’s productions feature intimate storytelling experiences with dessert. "It’s a Wonderful Life, A Live Radio Play" will be performed at the Mission Gables Bowl House located at 168 S. Eureka St, Redlands, CA from Dec. 9 through Dec. 30. Evening shows begin at 8 p.m. and matinees begin at 2 p.m. Dessert and theatre tickets start at $28 and show-only tickets start at $22.
