REDLANDS>> The City of Redlands Quality of Life Department has announced the formation of a youth basketball league. The Fytt Summer Youth Basketball League provides youths between the ages of 4-10 and ages 11-14 a safe place to play basketball during the summer months. More than that, playing basketball helps children and young teens with goal setting and personal character development. Registration is $125, if registering before Wednesday, May 3. For those who register between May 3 and May 13, as well as those who register late, the registration fee is $159. In-person registration is set to take place on Saturday, May 6, between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., at the Redlands Community Center. Player Draft Day is Saturday, May 13, between 9 a.m. (for children ages 4-10) and 11:00 a.m. (for children ages 11-14). Games will take place every Saturday, beginning June 24 and ending Aug. 19. All participants will receive both a uniform and a medal.
