Apartment Building Fire on Cypress Ave

Redlands Firefighters responded to a residential structure fire in the 200 block of East Cypress Avenue early Thursday morning, Feb. 10. No injuries were reported.

The first unit arrived at approximately 2:00 a.m. to find heavy smoke and fire on the second floor of a two-story apartment building and all residents already evacuated. Firefighters quickly made entry and contained the fire to the apartment of origin.

The fire was extinguished in about 15 minutes, and crews remained on scene for approximately two hours for overhaul.

Damage is estimated at $50,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
