LifeHouse Theater celebrates the Christmas season and the start of its 21st season with the return of its original hit musical, “It’s A Wonderful Life!” The folks of Bedford Falls come to life on stage in this tribute to an American tale immortalized by the cinematic masterpiece. The true spirit of Christmas touches George Bailey and all who witness his amazing encounter with a wayward angel. Performances begin Saturday, Nov. 29, at 7:30 p.m. and will continue on weekends through Dec. 30. Performances are Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2:15 p.m. (except Opening Night) and 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2:15 p.m. In addition to the weekend performances, there will be special weekday performances at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29 and Tuesday, Dec. 30. The performance on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m. will also feature an interpreted presentation for the deaf. “We’re honored to present encore performances of our most popular musical and to see audiences respond to this powerful Christmas classic,’” comments LifeHouse President Wayne R. Scott. “As timely as ever in these difficult days, ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ is an inspirational stage experience that fills hearts with hope and the joy of Christmas.” “It’s A Wonderful Life!” is presented by a cast of volunteer storytellers from all over the Inland Empire. The musical stars Jonathan Bushey as George Bailey, Jana Smith as Mary Hatch and Danny Blair as Clarence. Also featured are John Hallenbeck as Uncle Billy, Rich Lampe as Mr. Gower, Dale Witham as Bert the Cop, Todd Witham as Ernie Bishop, Sauni Rinehart as Ma Bailey, Greg Durgin as Pa Bailey, Debra Carter as Cousin Tilly, Jacob Gomez as Cousin Eustace, Jessica Russell as Violet Bick and Garrett Goodell as Harry Bailey. Nick Diliberto also stars as Henry Potter. The musical is directed by LifeHouse veteran Jeremy Yeo. Yeo’s production staff includes choreographers Emilie Helvey and Sanlyn Carter, music director Sarah Pearce, costume designer Cristy Conrad-Wiley and set designer Tim Mahoney. The theater is located at 1135 N. Church St. in Redlands, next to the Redlands Christian School. Free parking is available in back of the theater.
