On Saturday, Sept. 12, from 4 to 7 p.m., the Redlands Opera Theatre’s Board of Directors, Artistic Director Tiana Dye and Music Director Christa Stevens will present the Fourth Annual Benefit Gala & Fundraiser-Soirée at the Gables. This event will showcase selections from their upcoming 2015/16 season-opera arias and ensembles featuring beloved pieces from treasured operas by Gounod, Menotti, Mozart and more. Serving Redlands, the County of San Bernardino and the Inland Empire, the organization's mission is to educate and entertain by providing high quality classical music through cultural, educational, and community activities. Leaders look forward to presenting operatic productions alongside the talented musicians of this area. The event will be held at the historic Mission Gables Bowl House. Originally built in 1898, the 7,500 square foot Mission Gables Bowl House overlooks the fabulous Redlands Bowl. The evening will consist of wine, hors d’oeuvres, musical performances from several of our principal and resident artists, including special guests the Sophia String Quartet. A silent auction and opportunity drawing will also be held. Tickets come with one drink voucher per person, and are available online at redlandsoperatheatre.com. Tickets are $45 per person, or $80 per couple. All proceeds from the event benefit the Redlands Opera Theatre program and workshops. Redlands Opera Theatre workshops are supported by the Redlands Noon Kiwanis.
