Redlands Firefighters and Police responded to a two-vehicle collision between a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck and trailer on Orange Street north of Pioneer Street Saturday evening. At about 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, an unidentified vehicle traveling north on Orange Street near the Redlands Shooting Park veered across the double yellow line and into the southbound lane. A Ford Mustang traveling in the southbound lane swerved to avoid the vehicle and collided with a semi-truck and trailer in the northbound lane. The Mustang and the truck suffered major damage. The driver of the Mustang was transported to the hospital with broken bones. The truck driver was not injured. About 60-70 gallons of diesel fuel was spilled onto the roadway. Orange Street was temporarily closed to allow for clean-up of the spilled fuel. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact Redlands Police Dispatch at (909) 798-7681 ext. 1.
