SBVC Men’s Cross Country Finishes in 7th Place

SBVC concluded the 2015 season at Woodward Park in Fresno, home of the CCCAA State Finals, putting together a 7th place finish, scoring 187 points. SBVC finished 31 points ahead of Cuyamaca, the top overall finisher at the SoCal Finals, freshman Michael Teran (Fontana Jurupa Hills), was a surprising 12th place finisher, with a time of 20:50.4 on the 4 mile course. The top finisher for SBVC at the State Finals was freshman Luis Ortega (Fontana Jurupa Hills), finishing 8th with a time of 20:44.2. Finishing 21st was sophomore Derek Barnett (Redlands East Valley) with a time of 21:02.0 and Freshman Christian Sharp (Redlands East Valley) finished 48th with a time of 21:35.0. Sophomore Daniel Aguilera (Fontana Jurupa Hills) wrapped up the top five for SBVC with a time of 22:15.6, finishing 98th. Freshman Isaac Gonzalez (Fontana H.S.) and freshman Antonio Sanchez (Jurupa Valley Rubidoux) finished 122nd and 128th for SBVC on the afternoon.
