LifeHouse Theater has announced its new Sunday Night Specials series of productions. On select Sunday nights, LifeHouse will present special one-act productions, both plays and musicals, ranging from dramatic to comedic and from inspirational to hilarious. Each Sunday Night Special will be presented for either one or two night only engagements. The Sunday Night Specials launch with a one night only performance of the popular favorite, “A Song In My Heart.” Written by LifeHouse founder and president Wayne R. Scott, “A Song in My Heart” presents in humorous verse the amazing true stories behind some of the greatest worship hymns of all time. A man discovers he is going blind. Another loses his family and fortune. A young couple face death at the hands of terrorists. Each incident has led to the writing of hymns sung to this day. “A Song In My Heart” will be presented Sunday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. Advance ticket prices are $15 for adults and $8 for children ages 3-11 and can be purchased by calling 909-335-3037 or online at www.boxoffice.lifehousetheater.com. “We are excited to introduce the Sunday Night Specials series to our guests,” comments Wayne Scott. “It allows us to present stories that don’t always fit with our regular weekend production format. Productions specifically tailored for different holidays will be part of the Sunday Night Specials. Our initial offering includes presentations for Christmas and Valentine’s Day.” Directed by Eric Bishop, “A Song in My Heart” features a cast of familiar LifeHouse stage veterans including Jeremy Yeo, Jennifer Keeney, Brooke Manson, J. Wiley, Meigan Karracker, Peter Rajca, Kelly Bishop, Diana Handy, and Jonathan Bushey.
