Deputies Investigate Fatal Traffic Collision

REDLANDS>> On Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at about 1:19 pm, a fatal traffic collision occurred on Oak Glen Road east of Casa Blanca Avenue in Yucaipa. A solo rider of a 1994 Suzuki motorcycle was traveling west on Oak Glen Road when he failed to negotiate a turn and lost control of the bike. The bike left the roadway and the rider ejected from it. The rider suffered significant injuries and was transported to the Redlands Community Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries about an hour later. He has not been officially identified at this time. Members of the Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team were requested to conduct the investigation. At this time, investigators are not ruling out DUI, inattention and/or speed as contributing factors to the collision. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who might have additional information pertinent to the case is encouraged to contact investigators at the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff's Station Traffic Division (909) 477-2817.
