The Moreno Valley Master Chorale is inviting new singers to join the chorale for the remainder of the 2017 choral season. The Moreno Valley Master Chorale is currently preparing for their “Music of the Masters” April 2 concert, which will feature choruses and solos from parts II and III of Handel’s “Messiah.” Dr. Viorel Gheorghe will direct the chorale and orchestra for the popular concert. Because the chorale is currently expanding the group, the group is inviting new singers to join in on the fun. Rehearsals are always held every Monday from 7-9 p.m., at the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church located at 11650 Perris Boulevard, just north of Ironwood, in Moreno Valley. Those interested are encouraged to bring along your own “Messiah” book if you have one. If not, there will be some loaners available. The Moreno Valley Master Chorale will also have openings for several young singers after the group recently received special funding from the Riverside Arts Council. The Youth Internships are available for students who are 16-21 years old. For more information, or for new singer and Youth Internship application forms, call (951) 485-8414, or go online at the Chorale’s website: www.morenovalleymasterchorale.org. "The Moreno Valley Master Chorale exists to produce, promote and preserve the live choral experience," states the group's mission statement. "We foster community involvement in the vocal arts, while nurturing the joy of musical expression for all."
