Injuries Reported in Moreno Valley Rollover Crash on State Route 60

MORENO VALLEY, CA — Six people were injured Sunday night following a single-vehicle rollover crash along California State Route 60 near Nason Street in Moreno Valley.

According to authorities, the crash occurred at approximately 10:15 p.m. on the eastbound lanes of the freeway just east of Nason Street. Emergency dispatchers initially received reports that several individuals were lying in the roadway following the collision.

When first responders arrived, they discovered an overturned Hyundai vehicle with six occupants involved in the incident. Multiple emergency crews were quickly dispatched to assist those injured.

Officials reported that five ambulances and a supervising unit responded to the scene. All six occupants were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment of injuries described as moderate to major.

Preliminary information from the California Highway Patrol indicates that speed may have been a contributing factor in the crash. Authorities stated that alcohol and drugs were not believed to be involved.

As crews worked to assist victims and investigate the collision, the two right lanes of eastbound State Route 60 were temporarily closed to allow for emergency response and cleanup operations.

The incident remains under investigation.

Staying Safe on the Road

Traffic officials remind drivers that practicing defensive driving and following all posted traffic laws can help reduce the risk of serious collisions. Maintaining safe speeds, staying alert, and being mindful of surrounding vehicles are important steps in helping keep roadways safe for motorists and pedestrians alike.
