Residents Invited to Apply for Positions on City Commissions

Redlands>>The City of Redlands invites residents to apply for openings on the Planning Commission and Street Tree Committee. 

 The Planning Commission prepares a comprehensive long term general plan for the physical development of the City and makes recommendations to the City Council relating to the maintenance of the General Plan, zoning administration,  environmental assessments, site plan and architectural review, subdivision planning, sign, parking and landscaping regulations, housing, historic preservation, and Measure "N" processing. The Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 35 Cajon St.

 The Street Tree Committee advises the City Council and recommends policies for the planting, care and removal of trees and shrubs in all parkways in the City. The Street Tree Committee meets bi-monthly on the fourth Thursday of even- numbered months at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 35 Cajon St. 

 Residents interested in applying for any of these non-salaried positions may request an application form from the City Manager's Office, City Hall, 35 Cajon St., Suite 200, by phone at (909) 798-7510, or on-line at www.cityofredlands.org

 Deadline for filing applications is May 18. Members are appointed by the City Council.
