A 49-year-old Redlands woman was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after police responded to multiple reports in the area of Cero Court and Cook Street shortly before 7 p.m., Wednesday, February 12. Police contacted the reporting party, Glynis Paulette Brooks, before locating the victim about a quarter mile from the location. The victim, a 34-year-old female family member, had suffered multiple stab wounds and was transported to an area hospital where she underwent surgery. None of the wounds were life-threatening. Officers later determined that Brooks had stabbed the woman during an altercation. Brooks was taken into custody and booked at Central Detention Center in San Bernardino for assault with a deadly weapon. Bail was set at $50,000. Officers served a search warrant Wednesday and recovered evidence at a nearby residence where the assault began. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Detective Corey Hunt at (909) 798-7688.
