The November Coffee with the Council, scheduled for Nov. 21 has been cancelled in order to allow council members to participate in the Community Day of Service scheduled that day. The City of Redlands and the Redlands Service Club Council are hosting the Community Day of Service to beautify the new Orange Blossom Trail between Wabash Avenue and Grove Street. Open check-in for the Day of Service begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at two locations along the trail at Dearborn Street and Judson Street, between East Citrus and East Colton Avenues. Groups, including the University of Redlands, Redlands Interfaith Council, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and High School Service Club will check in at other locations along the trail. Individuals and families are welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring gloves, rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, brooms and battery-powered blowers. Breakfast will be provided by the City of Redlands. Early sign-ups are available at JustServe.org.
