REDLANDS>> The Inland Master Chorale is seeking an experienced choral conductor to fill the vacancy that will be left by Roger W. Duffer when he retires at the end of the current concert season. Duffer has directed the group since it was established in 1980. “For 37 years, I have been privileged to lead the Chorale as we performed quality choral music in practically every genre from classical to country, and baroque to Broadway,” Duffer said. The chorale is an adult-auditioned group of approximately 60 singers, who rehearse weekly for nine months of the year to present four concert weekends each season. Based in Redlands, the group also has performed across Southern California and internationally in England, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. “We are looking for someone who will continue to provide high quality choral concerts in a variety of genres,” said head of the search committee, John Biddick. Those interested may request more detailed information by sending an email to info@inlandmasterchorale.org. The application deadline is March 15, 2017. Upcoming Inland Master Chorale concerts include the Best of Broadway on March 4-5, and Duffer’s finale, Director’s Favorites, on May 20-21. Concerts are performed at First United Methodist Church, located at 1 East Olive Avenue in Redlands.
