During the upcoming holidays, Building and Safety staff will be available on a limited basis for inspections between Dec. 20 and Jan. 5. Inspections will be available on Dec. 23, 26, 27, 30 and 31 and on Jan. 2, by calling (909) 798-7536 one business day in advance of the inspection date. Please leave your name, phone number and the type of inspection requested. An inspector will call to confirm the inspection date and time. Because of the holiday schedule, city staff will only be available for a limited number of inspections during that time. Most Redlands City Hall offices will be closed between Christmas and the beginning of 2014. Essential City services, including public safety and utilities, as well as the A.K. Smiley Public Library, will be in full operation. City facilities, including City Hall, the Redlands Community Center and both senior centers, will close on Dec. 20 and reopen Jan. 6. Market Night will be canceled Dec. 26 and Jan. 2. The Saturday Morning Farmer’s Market will be canceled Dec. 28. In addition to inspection services, public safety, utility customer service and billing, solid waste and recycling pickup, Hillside Memorial cemetery and city parks will remain open and in operation.
