Low Cost Acupcunture Clinic Held at Affordable Price

COLTON >> Inland Empire’s very own acupuncturist will be holding his second Colton Community Acupuncture Day on July 9, providing visitors with natural healing done in a group setting at an affordable cost. Edward Romo, 10-year Redlands resident and licensed acupuncturist, has a passion for helping people in pain with a holistic remedy. After growing up with a grandma and a great, great grandma who believed in natural remedies, Romo decided that he wanted to pursue a career in holistic medicine. That career took him from studies in forensic science to studies in Chinese Medicine and acupuncture. After graduating with a Master’s degree, Romo took the knowledge he learned and opened up his very own acupuncture office, “The Arte of Healing,” in Redlands, where he has been located for the past 10 years. The reason Romo decided to bring acupuncture out to the Inland Empire was because of the lack of representation. "I've been out here 10 years," Romo said. "Community acupuncture is oversaturated in Los Angeles." Romo is so far the only acupuncturist located in the Inland Empire that uses a unique group method of healing, and though he currently only holds an office in Redlands, he plans to expand to Colton, as well. The creation of Colton Community Acupuncture Day, which is sponsored by the Colton Chamber of Commerce, of which Romo is a member, was to bring natural healing to the people in a group setting at a cost that is more affordable than the regular treatment. "Community acupuncture makes treatment affordable so patients can come as often as needed," he said. "They pay what is comfortable for them so they can get well within their budget. It also provides a healing experience that can be shared with friends and family." The way that Romo introduces the cost is on a sliding scale from $25 to $40 – meaning that you decide what you would like to pay. The point of the event is not solely about the cost, however. While Romo does want to make it affordable to the community, he also wants to make sure he is meeting the needs of the community, as well. “I just simply wanted those that needed help to come,” he said in regards to the first Community Acupuncture Day, held April 27 in Colton, in a previous article with City News Group. He said he hopes those that came to the first Community Acupuncture Day might bring friends and family, as well. For those needing relief from pain, acupuncture helps by stimulating the root of the pain. With the additional use of natural remedies, the body begins its natural process of self-healing and the pain is relieved, with the added bonus of no negative effects from medication. Colton Community Acupuncture Day is being held July 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Colton Chamber of Commerce, 655 N La Cadena Drive. Patients will decide their price based on the minimum of $25 and the maximum of $40 and can call 909-264-0185 to reserve their spot. For more information, visit www.arteofhealing.com.
