Radiothon Raises Funds to Fight Cancer

Stater Bros. Charities and K-FROG radio joined with Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital (LLUCH) for a radiothon on Dec. 3 and 4, running from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day, which raised over $275,000 to support children battling cancer. The 13th Annual Stater Bros. Charities K-Froggers for Kids Radiothon was transmitted on K-FROG live from Bass Pro Shops in Rancho Cucamonga. Stater Bros. Charities was the sole presenting sponsor of the radiothon. Funds from the radiothon will support pediatric cancer patients and programs at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. Throughout the radiothon, K-FROG gave on-air recognition to donors. Donors called in their contributions during the two days and also donated online. “We are so incredibly grateful to Stater Bros. Charities for their tremendous support of this wonderful radiothon,” said Jillian Payne, executive director of the LLUCH Foundation. “The K-FROG listeners really came through for our patients battling cancer as well. Their support will provide hope and healing to children battling cancer through the holidays and all year long.“ Cumulatively, over 13 years, the annual radiothons have raised nearly $5 million for LLUCH.
