Weaving physical spectacle, text, music and film into a non-linear narrative, AMERYKA illuminates the place of democracy between America and Poland over four different eras. Through provocative juxtapositions and boundary-pushing theatrical forms, this diverse cast plays multiple roles, inhabiting constantly shifting time-spaces, exploding facts of history into poetic events— revealing the beating heart that propels each nation towards the realization of its more perfect union. This production will be on stage on Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. at the University of Redlands Glenn Wallichs Theatre located at 1200 E Colton Ave. in Redlands. The production team includes: Writer/Director/Scenic Director Nancy Keystone Composer/Sound Design Randy Tico Stage Manager Casey McGann Assistant Director Turner Munch The cast will feature: Russell Edge, Ray Ford, Lorne Green, Danielle Jones, Nicholas Santoro, Jeremy Shranko, Valerie Spencer, Mark Doerr and Richard Gallegos. The production is presented by the University of Redlands Theatre Arts Department, in conjunction with the U of R Government Department and thanks to the Lossett Endowment with the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Los Angeles and Poles in the Inland Empire (PIE).
