A shuttle service between the Redlands Community Center and the Saturday Morning Certified Farmers Market will run every Saturday beginning Feb. 20 through September to connect people to the farmers’ market and fresh local produce. The shuttle will run on a recurring loop at 30 minute intervals between 8 and 11 a.m. with stops at the the Redlands Community Center, 111 W. Lugonia Ave., and the market at the intersection of Fifth Street and Redlands Boulevard. The addition of a shuttle service for the Saturday Morning Farmers’ Market will increase the accessibility of fresh produce throughout the Redlands community. This service is made possible through a 2014 USDA Farmers’ Market Promotion Program Grant awarded to the City of Redlands Development Services Department's Economic Development Division. Transportation will be provided by SuperShuttle®. In addition to the shuttle service, the grant award has provided for acceptance of SNAP benefits at both the Saturday Farmer’s Market and Thursday Market Night, cooking demonstrations with local chefs and cooks and more.
