Third Public Program on Energy Efficiency Scheduled

The public is invited to attend a third and final workshop on energy efficiency designed to educate local residents and business owners on the programs, benefits and incentives available through Southern California Edison’s Partnership for energy efficiency. The workshop will also include an overview of the recommended energy efficiency measures for the Redlands Energy Action Plan. Topics will include an overview of the concepts and benefits of a municipal energy efficiency program, presented by Kimberly Ruddins, Sustainability Program Manager for the City of Ontario; a review of energy-efficiency programs and incentives by representatives from Southern California Edison and the Southern California Gas Company; components of the Redlands Energy Action Plan; and examples of energy efficiency measures that could be included in the plan as well as the cost and benefits of implementation. The meeting will be held from 4:30-6 p.m. on Aug. 18, in the Assembly Room at the A.K. Smiley Public Library, 125 W. Vine St.
