Senior Center Offers Tamale Workshop and Dinner

Join the Redlands Community Senior Center from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, for a free tamale workshop. Participants will learn how to prepare and cook homemade tamales. Space is limited, so please call (909) 798-7579 to reserve your spot now. Following the tamale workshop, the senior center will host a tamale dinner beginning at 3 p.m. The dinner will consist of a Caesar salad, Spanish rice, beans, salsa, guacamole, chips and one delicious homemade tamale. For those who participated in the tamale workshop, the dinner is free. For all others, the meal will cost $3, with each additional tamale costing $1. No pre-orders will be taken for tamale take home orders. Reservations are required for both the meal and the workshop. The center is located at 111 W.Lugonia Ave.
