Gabriel Ramirez Receives President's Volunteer Service Award

Gabriel Ramirez, a graduate student from California State University San Bernardino, has achieved national recognition as The President’s Volunteer Service Award recipient (PVSA), a premier volunteer awards program that encourages citizens to live a life of service through presidential gratitude and national recognition. “We applaud Gabe Ramirez for this achievement,” said Tara Feagans, event coordinator for the Student Health Association at California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB). “Gabe is a valuable asset to the community and his dedication to helping students is being recognized with this award.” Ramirez will be graduating on June 20, Magna Cum Laude, with a Master of Public Administration degree from CSUSB and is a lifetime member of the prestigious Pi Alpha Alpha honor society. He was also the recipient of the American Society for Public Administration Scholarship, Inland Empire Chapter and has served as Regional Chair of the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce and for his work in the community. Ramirez has been recognized by state and nationally elected officials and was also a member of the of the College of Extended Learning advisory council. He is a preceptor for the Department of Health Science and Human Ecology at CSUSB. Currently, Ramirez is employed by New York Life and is a member of New York Life’s Executive Council and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Ramirez works and resides in Redlands.
