On Oct. 5, Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Medical Center in Loma Linda hosted the 24th Annual Veterans Memorial Car Show to raise money for veterans and military families. Vintage cars lined up as far as the eye could see while families gathered around the different vehicles ranging from street rods to custom bikes. Many of the cars and motorcycles were well documented with pictures of their history and work that had been done to the car over the years. Numerous custom cars were on display for families and car enthusiasts to enjoy. Reggy Johnson said, “This event is wonderful and many people can showcase their cars while helping the military families.” Attendee Peter Simmons said, “My nephew served in the army and I like to support events such as these to help other families.” Roughly 1,200 different cars of various shapes and sizes were available to be viewed by the public. Food and raffles were also part of the event which made it exciting for the whole family.
