ISU Barich Insurance was named the top Redlands area business member of the year by the Redlands Chamber of Commerce at the 3rd Annual Top Chamber Business (TCB) Awards, hosted by Assemblyman Mike Morrell (R-Rancho Cucamonga). For their accomplishments, ISU Barich Insurance Principal George Barich was awarded a resolution by Assemblyman Morrell and Chamber of Commerce leaders. “I was extremely honored when I heard we won the [top honors] award,” said George Barich. “It’s such a great recognition because there are so many wonderful businesses in Redlands who also deserve it.” ISU Barich Insurance was founded in Redlands in 1979 by George’s brother, Paul, a local business owner and a former Redlands Chamber of Commerce president. Last year, Paul’s business, Barich and Associates, received the Top Honor recognition. ISU Barich Insurance provides customers with a slew of insurance services, including coverage of vehicles, businesses, workers’ compensation, life and health. Barich shared that the top business recognition came during what he described as “a good year.” In January, Barich was honored as the Chamber’s Man of the Year. He stated that ISU Barich Insurance was dedicated to giving back to its community, with many of its employees serving in various community giveback capacities, including serving as ambassadors and board members for various organizations, and volunteering with both youth- and city-based services. “We are very active in our community. First of all, that’s what makes Redlands a special community,” said Barich. “This is our home. We don’t just take, we give back. We are generous in our financial donations and extremely generous with our time and efforts in the community.” Volunteer services played a large role in the Chamber’s selection of ISU Barich Insurance for the Top Chamber Business award, shared Redlands Chamber of Commerce president Daney Bachiu. She noted George Barich’s longstanding community service record in the city. “George has always been a leader in the community and has really been at the forefront of gathering armies of volunteers to help restore the city,” Bachiu said. “He’s always ready to give back.” ISU Barich Insurance was honored among seven other Redlands businesses by both Assemblyman Morrell and the Redlands of Commerce: Storage West, Citrus Valley Plumbing, City Florist of Redlands, All-Star Engraving, Krikorian Redlands Cinema 14, the Tartan of Redlands and Freeman Office Products, with ISU Barich Insurance receiving top honors.
